Stunning new London home for RTKL
After a beauty parade of leading West End firms, we were thrilled to be appointed by leading international architectural practice RTKL to seek and acquire their new London offices after spending c.15 years within the Heals Building on Tottenham Court Road. We carried out an in-depth search of all options, speaking to both Landlords, Tenants and their agents to find the ideal premises for our new client.
After inspecting numerous properties in a line from the West End to the City, we finally agreed terms to acquire the last remaining floor in Tishman Speyers stunning glass clad office scheme at 25 Farringdon Street. The 10,500 sq ft floor virtually glowed on the first day we viewed it. With virtually 360 degrees of full height windows and almost 3m ceiling height, the floor proved to be head and shoulders above the shortlist of five that we had drawn up. Terms were agreed within a few days and completion took place yesterday (12th June ’12).
Our clients remit was to identify a very specific type of premises. The building had to be modern, comply fully with all of the most up to date building regulations, which excluded many of the competing ‘refurbished’ buildings we had seen, and be over a single architecturally striking floor. Very competitive terms were agreed for our clients despite limited stock availability and competition from tenants within the building.
Nexus is a striking, new 13-storey office building in the City of London, providing 153,500 sq ft of imposing, Grade A office space. Designed by Sturgis Associates and developed by Tishman Speyer.
